Within this knowledgebase, you’ll learn how to upload an existing world to your Valheim server.
Video Tutorial: Uploading and Loading worlds to your Valheim server
Step 1:
Locate the world file on your PC, it should be located within the Windows AppData folder.
Method 1: Find appdata through the filemanager like so:
C:\Users\YOUR WINDOWS NAME\AppData\LocalLow\IronGate\Valheim\worlds
Method 2: Open your windows search bar, type in “run” and the following program should show:
Within this field, enter %appdata% like shown above and then press “ok”
Once on that your Directory will look like “WINDOWSUSERNAME/APPDATA/ROAMING”, simply press on “AppData” at the top of the bar, then press on LocalLow > IronGate > Valheim > worlds.
Step 2:
Within this folder, locate all the .db and .fwl files for the world you want to load. The .old files are not required.
Step 3:
Log into the Streamline Servers StreamPanel, and locate your Valheim Service.
Step 4:
Stop the server to ensure no issues occur and proceed to click on “File Manager”
Step 5:
From there, press on the folder labelled “Server” and then “worlds”, within this folder, you’ll upload all of the files you retrieved from your PC. Simply press the “Upload” button and upload the desired files, alternatively, use FTP (How to use Game Panel FTP)
Step 6:
Once completed, you’ve successfully uploaded your Valheim world files.
